Everything In Sport to Host its Second Women’s Edition Conference of 2024, at Wembley Stadium in London

Amplifying the Mantra ”Sport for Social Change,” Event to Champion the Evolution of Women’s Sports

London, May 1, 2024 – Everything In Sport (EIS) will be hosting its Women’s Edition Conference at Wembley Stadium in London, on May 14th and 15th. The second of three global conferences set for 2024, following its March show in Miami, this conference offers an opportunity for executives from sports and business sectors, including sports buyers, institutional investors, suppliers, and corporate-level decision-makers, to network and establish new business relationships.

This year’s panels will be driven by Everything In Sport’s five core themes; Education, Gamification, Innovation, Regulation, and Stimulation. The host for the conference will be Jess Rogers, a presenter, commentator and content creator across sport, sustainability and adventure. It will also feature speaking engagements from numerous high-profile sports industry professionals, including Charlotte Groppo, Head of Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the IOC, Chloe Chong, Formula 4 driver, Ugo Monye, Broadcaster and former England Rugby International player, Laura Presland Octopush athlete, and many more.

“The London Women’s Edition Conference is not to be missed. It will be an exceptional opportunity to delve into key issues in sports and society. Following our successful 2024 series launch in Miami, hosting a ‘home’ event is fantastic. Collaborating with remarkable speakers, contributors, and industry professionals is truly inspiring. Omnia Sports Group’s values and core themes set us apart in this space. Our goal is to make a meaningful impact, highlighting social change and urging individuals and organisations to make a difference in their spheres of influence,” said Ian Budge, Executive Director, Omnia Sports Group.

The conference comes at a time when women’s sport is experiencing unprecedented media coverage and attention. According to a visibility report from the Women’s Sport Trust, following the England Lionesses’ success at EURO 2022, there was a 100% increase in viewership of England’s domestic women’s football league. This increase has led to over 68,000 more girls playing football, bringing the total number of girls playing the game in England to 845,000.

Another feature of the conference will be PowerPlay The Future, an initiative where sport tech startups present to investors in a Pecha Kucha style—20 slides at 20 seconds each—in hopes of securing a financial investment. Players (Startups) receive a complimentary pass for themselves and a guest to the Women’s Edition Conference and also have the opportunity to refine their pitch with valuable feedback. In addition to the conference, the Omnia Media Outstanding Achievement Awards will be held on the evening of Tuesday, May 14th. Hosted by sports presenter Cayana Freeman, these awards honour individuals in the industry who have made significant contributions to women’s sports through education, gamification, innovation, and more. The ceremony’s highlight will be the presentation of the Lifetime Contribution to Sport Award. For more information on the Omnia Media Outstanding Achievement Awards, please visit here.

“In a year when women’s sport is exploding into the mainstream, EIS strives to elevate this momentum to new levels with the Women’s Edition Conferences,” explained Leon Walton, Managing Director, EIS. “It is imperative for us to continue this crucial conversation about achieving equality in women’s sports to pave the way for future success. Our agenda not only addresses the most relevant and noteworthy topics but also fosters camaraderie and enjoyment.”
